Credits & Billing

1. What are credits?

Credits are the internal currency of SativaExperience. They represent prepaid access to platform features: AI text responses, voice synthesis, generated images, and video clips. Credits are consumed per scene turn, not per session.

Credits are not real currency and cannot be exchanged for money. They exist solely to gate access to resource-intensive AI features fairly.

2. Scene cost: shown before you start

The estimated credit cost for each scene turn is calculated from your session settings and shown on the setup screen before you start your session. You can see exactly what a scene will cost by adjusting the Voice, Images, and Premium Visuals options.

The actual cost charged may differ slightly from the estimate if a provider partially fails and an automatic refund is applied. You will never be charged more than the estimate.

3. Scene credit costs by feature combination

Voice + premium visuals	45 credits

Image regeneration costs 5 credits (standard) or 15 credits (premium). Video features are priced separately when enabled.

4. How credits are acquired (beta phase)

• During the closed beta, credits are issued manually by the operator, typically as invite credits for beta participants.
• There is no automated payment system active yet. Credits are added directly to your account by the operator.
• A payment provider will be integrated before public launch, enabling credit top-up by card or other payment methods.
• Pricing and credit packages will be announced when payment is introduced.

5. Credit balance and tracking

• Your current credit balance is displayed on the session screen once you are logged in.
• Each credit transaction (charge, top-up, or refund) is logged with a timestamp, amount, and reason.
• If your balance reaches zero mid-session, the current turn will complete but no further turns will start until credits are replenished.
• Supabase-account users can resume a saved session after topping up their balance.

6. Automatic refunds

If an AI provider (image generation, voice synthesis, or video) fails to deliver after credits have been deducted, the system automatically refunds the cost of the failed component to your balance. See the Refund Policy for full details.
